Come work with the Wild Woods Restoration Project volunteers at Black Rock Forest in Cornwall, NY to pot up seedlings and learn how to care for them at home until they are ready for planting. We’ll be potting up seedlings of several species of native plants. We’ll be sitting outdoors in the shade while we work, and you’ll be learning from experts about the native plants and how to grow them. We provide the pots, soil and plants. All you need to do is learn and help.
Space is very limited, registration required. To participate in this event, a Black Rock Forest waiver must be submitted.
What to Bring/Wear: If you wear glasses, don’t forget to bring them so you can see the seedlings well. You might want to bring garden gloves to wear, although with tiny seedlings, it’s usually better to use bare hands. Bring your own water to drink. More details about meeting location will be provided on sign-up.
