Join Board Members Bill and Eileen Glaser on a vigorous hike over four high peaks with breathtaking views: Split Rock, Black Rock, Eagle Cliff and Jupiter’s Boulder in the heart of Black Rock Forest. We will be hiking 8+ miles over forest trails, stream crossings and the old Continental Road. The pace is moderate-vigorous with plenty of breaks to take in the spectacular scenery. The hike difficulty will be 2D8/3D8 or 2D9/3D9, using the rating categories of our local Appalachian Mountain Club branch.
*There is an option to opt-out at the half-way mark – the Stone House; transportation will be provided back to the parking area around 11:30 AM. Not recommended for children under 12.
This hike is free to Friends of the Forest (annual supporters); or $10/per person. Space is limited and registration and a signed waiver are required. To become a Friend of the Forest or to make a payment for this hike, please visit our donation page.
